In the years since his debut, 1,000,000 Light Years (Kansas City's Patrick Hangauer)
has spiritual-journeyed to India, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Kauai, accumulating a
cache of authentic instruments, an expertise in guided meditation and a worldly ear
for otherworldly ambience.
Classically trained as an orchestral bassist, 1,000,000 Light Years makes the kind of gorgeously rational music that blings on the page
while arrhythmic pulses and free-form effects swirl the geometry in the headphones.
