About
Suzannah Johannes grew up outside the Kansas farm town Hiawatha and came to Lawrence for the Industrial Design Program at KU.
Making the rounds of the Lawrence music scene, she would pick up the guitar on occasion and mesmerize us all with prairie-voiced Leonard Cohen and Rolling Stones covers.
After winning the local battle-of-the-bands, Suzannah took her winnings and hit the studio for a few snowy sessions, recording a mix of originals, covers and this 4-song collaboration with the songwriter Hanz Bronze.
Played by Ghosty's Josh Adams (drums, percussion, vocals), David Wetzel (guitar, keyboard, vocals), Mike Nolte (bass) and Andrew Conner (backing vocals on "Horserider's Smile"), Fourth Of July/Say My Name's Steve Swyers (guitar), and Suzannah Johannes (vocals, guitar).
